Substitute Gabriel Martinelli then put Arsenal ahead in the 69th minute, finishing superbly from close range after Saka delivered a pinpoint cross to the back post. Saka capped off a standout performance by scoring for himself in the 88th minute, sealing the win.
Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale received a heroic welcome for his first visit to his former club just weeks after his transfer.
