Kenya’s state corporations are driving the nation’s growth, and the Kenya Track Survey 2025 highlights the leaders shaping the country’s future. Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC), under its visionary CEO, stands out with transformative initiatives across the nation.

In the last two years, REREC has completed over 5,000 electrification projects, connecting 60,000 households in 290 constituencies. It has also deployed 38 mini-grids in underserved areas around Lake Victoria and the Indian Ocean. The KSh 2.9 billion Galana-Kulalu Food Security Electrification Project, with two substations and 58 km of power lines, is reducing irrigation costs and boosting food production. Collaborations with counties and the NG-CDF have mobilized KSh 4 billion for over 450 projects nationwide, proving that strategic partnerships deliver real impact.

Other top-performing institutions are also making waves. The National Employment Authority (NEA) links job seekers with employers through NEAIMS, while Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) and Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) are modernizing transport infrastructure to boost trade and reduce congestion. Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) continues to position Kenya as a top safari destination globally, while Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) equips education leaders with modern skills.

Food security gets a boost from the National Irrigation Authority (NIA) and National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB), while healthcare delivery is strengthened by KEMSA’s efficient medical supply chain. Meanwhile, KEBS ensures products meet high safety and quality standards, protecting consumers and supporting industry growth.

The survey confirms that visionary leadership, innovation, and efficiency are transforming Kenya’s state corporations into engines of national development. With REREC leading the charge, these institutions are powering Kenya toward Vision 2030, delivering jobs, infrastructure, energy, education, health, and food security to citizens across the country.
