Moet & Chandon Returns As The Official Champagne of FORMULA 1

In a groundbreaking decade-long partnership between Formula 1 and LVMH, Moët & Chandon proudly returns as the sport’s Official Champagne.

With over 280 years of excellence in crafting champagne, the Maison has been central to some of motorsport’s most memorable celebrations, symbolising triumph, unity, and pure emotion.

Since its association with Formula 1 in 1950, Moët & Chandon has celebrated victories with legends like Sir Jackie Stewart, Ayrton Senna, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Mika Häkkinen, and Michael Schumacher.

Each cork’s pop, each spray of champagne, marks the pinnacle of dedication and passion. Now, as Formula 1 celebrates a significant anniversary, Moët & Chandon is back on the podium to forge new celebrations and shared joys.

The top three drivers and the winning Constructor will toast their success with Moët & Chandon at the podium celebrations.

Moreover, the Maison will serve as the Title Partner at the FORMULA 1 MOËT & CHANDON BELGIAN GRAND PRIX 2025, a race with profound significance for the Champagne house.

A Special Bond with Spa-Francorchamps

The Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps is more than a race; it’s a historic event intertwined with Formula 1 and Moët & Chandon’s heritage.

Located in the Ardennes, near the Champagne region, Spa is a symbolic return for the Maison. Renowned for its challenging corners, unpredictable weather, and scenic beauty, Spa is cherished by drivers and fans alike.

Spa-Francorchamps was on the inaugural FIA Formula 1 World Championship™ calendar in 1950, where Juan Manuel Fangio clinched victory on June 18.

Two weeks later, Fangio won again at the French Grand Prix at Reims-Gueux, with local enthusiasts Paul Chandon-Moët and Count Frédéric Chandon de Briailles in attendance.

They later celebrated at Château de Saran on the Moët & Chandon estate, toasting Fangio’s success.

This connection showcases the deep-rooted bond between Moët & Chandon and Formula 1, built on passion, excellence, and collective triumph.

A Legacy Celebrating Collective Emotion

Moët & Chandon’s motorsport history extends back to 1936 when Tazio Nuvolari celebrated his Vanderbilt Cup win with a Jeroboam of Moët & Chandon.

The tradition of spraying champagne was born in 1967 at Le Mans, when Dan Gurney, in a moment of joy, sprayed the crowd with champagne, setting a tradition defining victory celebration.

From the Golden Magnum trophy in 1977 to personalized Jeroboams from 1991 to 1997, Moët & Chandon has left an indelible mark on Formula 1.

Honoring the Spirit of Unity

This partnership celebrates more than just victories; it’s a homage to the collective spirit driving Formula 1 – the drivers, teams, and fans. Moët & Chandon is excited to be part of this journey, toasting to teamwork, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.

“We are honored and excited to return as the Official Champagne of Formula 1, celebrating a shared history of triumph and dedication since the 1950s. This partnership is a tribute to unity and shared achievements, inspiring drivers, teams, and our global community. As we return to the podium, we continue crafting moments of celebration for all.” Sibylle Scherer, CEO and President of Moët & Chandon, stated: “
