Kenya experienced a significant economic recovery in 2023, with the GDP rising by 14% to $107.44 billion (Source: World Bank).

The construction sector played a major role in this recovery, contributing 6.6% to the GDP through expanding infrastructure, housing, and commercial developments.

With urbanization driving new projects, Big 5 Construct Kenya returns from 6 to 8 November 2024 at the Sarit Expo Centre, endorsed by the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development.

Over 150 exhibitors from 25 countries will display the latest products and solutions, facilitating business connections among 8,500 professionals.

Projects like Konza Technology City, Northlands City, LAPSSET Corridor, and the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway expansion highlight Kenya’s commitment to achieving its Vision 2030 objectives.

These initiatives aim to modernize infrastructure, enhance regional trade, and promote Kenya as a globally competitive economy.

Endorsed by the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development in Kenya, Big 5 Construct Kenya brings together contractors, consultants, developers, architects, project managers, engineers, facility managers, interior designers, agents and distributors to conduct business within Kenya’s rapidly growing construction sector, stemming from planned infrastructure projects.

“The event fosters collaboration between international companies and local stakeholders,” said Mehtap Gursoy, Portfolio Director – Construction, dmg events. “It connects influential buyers with service providers and strengthens Kenya’s construction value chain.”

The event will feature country pavilions from China, Italy, India, Turkey, and Germany, along with 20 CPD-certified sessions covering architecture, sustainability, and project management. Attendees can explore innovations across HVAC, solar technology, construction tools, and mechanical systems.

First-time exhibitors include Decotech Metal, Suprimo, Memaar Building, and Aristo International, while returning brands such as Stanley Black & Decker and Elite Tools will showcase their latest products.
