In a first of many, Tana Rover governor Dhado Gaddae Godhana has emerged as the country’s best governor. This is accoeridng to survey by re-known pollster Kenya Track.
According to the survey, which was conducted between the first of November November 10, Godhana scooped a whooping 82.2%
The poll has attributed Godhana’s score to impactful projects undertaken by the Tana Rivewr Administration including funding and aiding the growth of the county’s irrigation scheme that has seen the an upsurge in Agricultural harvest, eomployment of teachers and equiping schools with nesseacry learning materials, nurturing youth talents through sports etc
Perhaps what came as shocker to some was the rating garnered by Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata. The youthful governor who has embarjed on various development projects in the county since taking over from Mwangi wa Iria, scored 81.6%
Some of the projects cited as contubtors to Kanga’ata’s score include encouraging bee farming through supply of beehives and honey processing machines in the county, improving and coming up healthcare initiatives such as digitisation of health records through Kanga’tacare
Kisii’s Simba Arati has been ranked third in the survey, with an approval rating of 80.6%, Trans Nzoia’s George Natembeya (79.5%), Kirinyaga’s Anne Waiguru (79.2%), Makueni’s Mutula Kilonzo Jr (78.7%), Mandera’s Mohammed Adan (78.4%), Kiambu’s Kimani Wamatangi (77.7%), Homa Bay’s Gladys Wanga (77.3%), and Kisumu’s Peter Anyang Nyong’o (76.9%) round up the top 10 most performing governors.
Kenya Track survey employed the mode of telephonic interviews at the household level for data collection, with random, multi-stage stratified sampling using proportionate to population size as the respondents sampling methodology.
The poll interviewed a total of 19,701 respondents (who are registered voters) across the 47 counties in the country.
