It’s a clash of the titans, or at least the microphones! Pastor and motivational speaker Robert Burale is dragging media personality Alex Mwakideu and his ex-wife Rozina Mwakideu to court, demanding a jaw-dropping KSh 20 million over what he calls a ‘reputation-ruining’ YouTube interview.
The video in question? The eyebrow-raising ‘My Biggest Mistake Was Marrying Robert Burale’ premiered on Alex Mwakideu TV on October 4, 2025. In it, Burale claims he was painted as manipulative, hypocritical, a swindler, and even homosexual, accusations he says are totally false and deeply damaging.
According to court filings at Milimani Chief Magistrates’ Court, Burale, a cleric of national fame, is not holding back. He accuses Alex of professional negligence, failing to fact-check, failing to give him a chance to respond, and actively encouraging viewers to “share widely”, spreading the alleged defamation like wildfire.
The pastor’s suit points to time-stamped clips from the interview as proof that the statements have tarnished his reputation, caused ridicule, mental anguish, and threatened his ministry and livelihood.
Burale is demanding:
- A mandatory, permanent takedown of the video and all related posts
- A public apology, blasted far and wide
- Deletion of every re-upload
- KSh 20 million in damages, plus court costs and “anything else the court sees fit”
Adding spice to the story, the suit references a Radio 47 segment on October 7, 2025, where Alex allegedly tried to backtrack on some of the interview’s most explosive claims.
Rozina and Alex Mwakideu are now officially in the hot seat as first and second defendants. With the case fast-tracked, the courtroom showdown is just around the corner, and the internet is already holding its popcorn.
